It's now fall, so we've been having some conversations about the Threshold: Chinese New Year event. 2012 is the year of the dragon, the only legendary animal among the twelve. Here's a little description on dragon from the Chinese Zodiac:
An extroverted bundle of energy, gifted and utterly irrepressible, everything Dragons do is on a grand scale - big ideas, ornate gestures, extreme ambitions.
We won't give too much away right now, but it seems like that in addition to our regular crew of designers, we'll be bumping up the production caliber even higher this year! More music variety, even better lighting and soundscapes, more art and artist involvement - these are all topics of conversation for what is regarded by many to be one of the premier music events of the year. Our attention to detail with a sensory experience is a hallmark of all the Threshold events. Our chosen venue is Refuge PDX, down in Portland's SE Industrial District.
We love this development process and we love working with the large number of volunteers that it takes to pull these incredible events together. Stay tuned for more info and how you can get involved in the 2012 Threshold Chinese New Year event!
